Race Rules

1. In entering this event all entrants have agreed to an event waiver whereby they enter and participate at their own risk, and are responsible for their own actions at all times with no liability to the organisers, sponsors or associated parties.
2. Entrants under the age of 16 must have signed consent from a parent or guardian.
3. The organisers may alter, postpone or cancel the event, without refund.
4. Entrants must give way to traffic at all times.
5. Entrants must obey directions from event officials, traffic management providers, police and first aid personnel.
6. Roller blades, skateboards, bicycles, baby buggies (wheeled conveyances) and dogs are prohibited as are headphones and personal music devices.
7. Walk entrants must only walk.  Walkers seen running will be reallocated into the run category.
8. Participants must not be accompanied by anyone not entered in the event, except;
   1. In special circumstances, as arranged personally with the race organiser.
9. Participants must not run or walk more than two abreast at any time, and on all major roads, must only run single file, passing on the left hand side.
10. All participants must attend the pre-race briefing on the start line, 15 min prior to each start.
11. Race numbers must not be cut or folded and must be worn high on your chest and be visible on the outside of clothing at all times.
12. The organisers reserve the right to withdraw any entrant who, A) does not comply with race rules, or, B) they consider unsafe to continue for medical reasons.
13. Any protests must be made in writing to the race director no later than 12 noon on race day.

Cancellation

In extreme weather or Force Majeure the event may be cancelled at any time.  In this situation, entry fees are non refundable.  If in doubt, please contact the race directors.

Refunds

Entry fee refunds are only available until 1 February 2018.  No refunds will be available after this date.  Refunds will incur a 25% administration fee, based on entry fee paid.

Eligibility

• The Novotel Marathon is open to all competitors over the age of 18 years.
• The Frontrunner Half Marathon is open to all competitors over the age of 16 years.
• The Novotel 5km Fun Run/Walk is open to all competitors.
• We recommend that all young children competing on the course are accompanied by an adult.
