Immortals

The word immortal can refer to a supernatural being who is worshipped by others.

We choose to recognise these sporting legends who have completed over 30 Mountain to Surf Marathons. 

Currently there are 5 immortal athletes. 

Our immortal sporting athletes are acknowledged with their own permanent race number, which they receive once they have completed over 15 marathons.  You will see them out on the course with a special coloured named bib, their pace may have changed from a run to a walk, but their passion to continue supporting and completing this event is evident in their commitment. 

Dennis Kowalewski has completed the most Novotel Mountain to Surf Marathons.

Our first ever immortal was Max Dravitzki, who completed a total of 30 marathons. He last completed this event in 2009.  Max still holds the age group records for the M55 (2:47:15) and M60 (2:50:24).
